M/V Eugenia B – Bulbow Damage Repair

DESCRIPTION:
The ship has contacted with one barge at Rizhao port and damaged the bulbow area, we arranged the repair jetty at Qingdao and carried the repairs in afloat condition with the assistance of mobile cranes / barge / staging.

As the original profile drawing of damaged bulbow area was not available, we had to make the templet as per the rough figure of damaged area and adopted computer lofting to make double curved plating in order to match with existing figure.

We cut all plating and internal profiles by atuo-cutting machine and fabricated the bulbow section at workshop then assembled sections on board by mobile cranes.

After completion, the welding seam was checked by Ultrasonic examination in order and the FPT was pressure tested in order and satisfied by attending NKK surveyor.
